The Cat's Out Of The Bag

Yes - it really is Friday, November 15th.
Okay - somehow or other I neglected to notice that my birthday would suddenly become public knowledge, thanks to L-J. How stoopid am I?? DUH !!!
Well - Joyce couldn't sleep this morning, so she was up bright and early a little after 4:00 am this morning. I was already taking a shower and getting ready for the day. So first out of the chute was my sweetheart, singing me happy birthday as I came out after I got dressed.
Of course, you can't do anything around our house without Max being right in the middle of it, so he wagged his tail "Happy Birthday" and remarked that I still had to take him out for his walk ... right now.
I get to work, and I'm hardly logged on when Jax (who through some rather entertaining manipulation on my part, won access to my b-day information) MSN Messenger-ed me right off the bat wishing me happy returns of the day.
Later on in the morning, I get a telephone call from my youngest brother - more happy birthday wishes. While he's talking to me my cell-phone goes off - my father calling long-distance from the job-site in Midland with more b-day wishes. We discuss the fact that 1.) I'm on the threshold of being "really old", and 2.) next year it's time for another Zero Party for my mother and I. I hang up and my office phone rings - My mother, calling from the motorhome in Midland where she's sipping her morning coffee. We agree that next year's Zero Party should be dinner at the Petroleum Club.
Next (in short order) are
faecrow, and
cissa, and
linithiliel.
I give up - y'all win.
So, my birthday so far - present-wise I got exactly what I asked for. The Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - Widescreen Edition DVD and The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the RingPlatinum Series Extended Edition Collector's Gift Set; yes, the one with the kewl but cheesy bookends. Sorry - I like them.
Plans include my taking off at 3 pm and Joyce and I going to see Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets this afternoon. We'll eat dinner at home afterward, and tomorrow night we have tickets to the Shrine Circus. Anything beyond that is icing on the cake.
