[NOTE: I hate these "one thing" questions. Why should I be llimited?!!]
The Friday Five
1. As a child, who was your favorite superhero/heroine? Why?
As I child ... if I remember correctly my favorite superhero was Thor 'cause I was (and still am) very much into mythology. I also admired Batman ('cause he did it all ... and without the aid of super powers.) I also followed Ironman, Dr. Doom, and the Fantastic Four. When I re-discovered comics much later down the road, my favorite was Michael Cray aka Deathblow. The only other books I followed were 1.) Wetworks, Shaman's Tears, and Bar Sinister. Deathblow, Shaman's Tears and especially "Classics
Illustrated.
2. What was one thing you always wanted as a child but never got?
Mmmm - my dad's Ruger .22 pistol. One of these days I'll eventually have it - he knows I love it and that I'm a crack pistol shot.
3. What's the furthest from home you've been?
Now that's an easy one - Kuwait City ... via Houston TX to London to Dubai to KC. Oh wait, I also went to Bahrain on the way back (KC to Bahrain to London to Houston TX), so that adds some more distance on the end.
4. What's one thing you've always wanted to learn but haven't yet?
First and foremost - I always wanted to learn astronomy. Other than that, I'd love to learn how to play the piano, speak Irish (and a little known language called Double Dutch), fly a 'copter, paint wargaming minatures, sculpt, make native American flutes, and forge a sword and/or knife.
5. What are your plans for the weekend?
Put together a 3-piece corner-unit style computer desk, watch the last 2 episodes of Everwood, Enterprise, Buffy, and Angel, and go rent "Brother, Where Art Thou". Prolly won't get around to that last one though.
