Sometime, somewhere, on one of the few Email List's I've been subscribed to over the years somebody made mention of, I think, a female fiddle player. Not your typical fiddler either. This girl can really make the strings hum and bow thrum. For some reason, I don't recall them being a strictly folk music artist, although they could probably do that - but kind of a jazzy, rock 'n roller, hard drivin' folk-rocker type or something along those lines.

I can't for the life of me remember who it was. I'm not even sure who it was who was singing her praises. I'd probably remember it if I heard her name again - thought it was Natalie McMaster, but it doesn't 'feel' right. I keep thinking it was [livejournal.com profile] yendi or JA or Thomas the Rhymer or Chuck L. who made the recommendation, but it is beyond me to remember now.

Suggestions anyone?
